For book 8 I decided on 50 Shades of Grey. I wanted to see what all the hype was about.
It is steamy yes, pretty darn steamy. I can see what all the talk is about in that department.
I hated Christian Grey through most of it. I don't think I have hated a character quite so much.. I sort of came around towards the end to tolerate him.
The book itself is a bit predictable, and a bit repetitive. If your looking for an easy read with lots of sex, I would say this is the book for you .
It did end and leave me interested to see what happens in the second book, perhaps I will start it this afternoon!

50 Book Pledge
Book Seven:
The Lost Dogs- Jim Gorant: This is a book written about the rescued pit bulls of Michael Vick's dog fighting ring. It was not as graphic as I had expected. Only a small part of the book was about the dogs before, the majority was about their rescue and their lives after. It was a wonderful book, a must read for pit bull lovers and all dog lovers. I am not going to lie I do not think I was able to read it once with dry eyes, but most were happy tears.

50 Book Pledge:
6. The Virgin Cure-Ami McKay. So amazing. The Virgin Cure is the best book I have read this year. I dont want to give anything away but I will tell you it is the story of a young girl named Moth growing up in the slums of New York in the late 1800's. Add this book the your must read list(and put it close to the top!). Also if you enjoy this book, Ami McKay also wrote a wonderful book called The Birth House. Add that to your list also.

5
I finished my next book in my 50 book pledge.
5. The Night Circus- Erin Morgenstern. I heard great things about this book before reading it, so maybe my standards were set a little high. I just found that in a book about a circus and magic, not a lot actually happened. I was always waiting for the story to really get started. I found the book jumped all over the place too much. I did read it all and it did not take me long. Throughout I was never bored but also I was never excited. I would see how one would love this book but I would also see how you wouldn't.
What to read next, that is the million dollar question.
On a side note. I can't get enough of Lana Del Ray.

50 book pledge 2012
1. Divergent- Veronica Roth(must read!) Hunger Games feel and I thought it was just as good.
2. The Art of Racing in the Rain-Garth Stein. This is a wonderful book that follows a family and their struggles through the eyes of a dog. I loved it so much, it is not often that books make me cry but this one had be sobbing.
3. Delirium- Lauren Oliver Another dystopia type book. It was good. It started off a bit slow but then toward the middle it picked up a lot. The ending was a surprise and I am not sure how they will do the 2nd book in the series, Pandemonium. I cant wait to see what happens!
4. Pandemonium-Lauren Oliver- I finished this last night. It was so good. I can't believe I need to wait until February 2013 for the final book to come out!! I really need to start waiting until the whole trilogy is available until I start to read the books.
For some reason Spring/Summer inspires me to read and read. I have no idea what gives with that. I can't get enough of books once the nice weather hits.
I am off to the library today to hopefully find something new to read and maybe a video or two to watch. I can't afford to keep buying books off my kobo so I will check out the library and see what they have available!
